Intimates

Intimates are great summer staples; sheer, soft fabrics and pastel colored pieces with lacy details, like this top. Paired with soft, printed pants (that could pass for pj's). 

An outfit like this is perfect for a breezy summer day.

Happy July

Happy Monday and happy July! I want to share the fact that I'm part-taking in a blogger challenge set up by a fellow Yu di Korsou (Curaçao native), a girl I used to be in class with. She blogs about society and anything unconventional. She is creative, witty and not afraid to share her point of view. Check out her blog Antiyano mi ta "here" .

Luau

Going to the Luau, getting lei'd (those are the flower garlands). These leis where hand-made by family member. One of the garlands was made from little jasmine like flowers and smelled amazing. Others where made with orchids and carnations (my dads favorites).

I just think it is an awesome tradition!

Draped Skirt & Textured Shirt

Last dy in Hawaii taking our daily walk on the beach, enjoying the scenery, the sea, sand and sun. 

I got this skirt a while a ago and rediscovered it in my closet. Floral print wrap skirts are so in for summer! Pair it with a textured crop top or with a jumper for those chilly summer nights after sunset :)

Wild Tropicana

I had made this skirt months ago, before I even knew I was going to Hawaii. I had been waiting for the perfect occasion to wear it and finally it had arrived! Hawaii is filled with the plumeria flowers, they are the ones that you wear in your hair, left side if your taken and right side if your single (what a tradition, right, talking about labeling...). I just like it because it looks so feminine.

Aloha from Hawaii

Now back in Amsterdam, I had a few wonderful days in Hawaii and LA, spending fun times with family. Walking the beach in front of the house we stayed at, in the mornings. Drinking Hawaii Kona coffee and having tropical fruits for breakfast. I wish I could go for one of those refreshing morning walks right now....

Tropical Fruits in Hawaii

At Pali lookout, halfway in the mountains, over a thousand feet above the coast line. Overlooking the northern side of the island of Oahu and the Koolau Cliffs. It was a cloudy and windy day, yet very tranquil and amazing sight.

New in; Tropical Elements

Finally my exams are done and I have decided to go on a much needed vacation. There will be tropical climate and quality family time together. I couldn't help but treat myself to some tropical inspired items to get into the vacation spirit! My suitcase is packed, just one more night and I'm off....
