Breakfast at Fayme's for Mayiu

  I got invited to check out Mayiu's collection of bags and belts, each piece is unique and really a little piece of art. Designer Marianne has a gift for pairing colors together, once was the queen of mosaic, creating wonderful pieces of art with the most beautiful color combinations. After years of intense mosaic work, she moved onto creating finer, more delicate pieces of art; Mayiu Bags and Belts.
Mayiu, meaning "mother and daughter" in my native language in CuraƧao, this mother, daughter duo is a ever creative pair.
The bags are made with delicate embellishments and luxe fabrics, mainly silks.
Try to get your hands on one of these unique hand-made pieces of art.
To keep up with Mayiu's latest collections follow her (here) on Facebook!

Wear your Mayiu bag many ways;
For cocktail hour with a little print dress.
Wear it casual with monotone colors; denim, navy and a white button down.
Or on trend; color blocking primary colors and toss in a print.

DIY; Festival Pouch

Happy Friday! here's a DIY for the weekend, it's as easy as 1,2,3 (almost). This one could make it to a crafts for dummies book! This little pouch is perfect to take to summer festivals or picnics or wherever!

1.Grab a circular object and outline it on the faux leather (the bigger the circle, the bigger the pouch)
 2. Follow the instructions of your eyelet kit and punch them in (make sure for an even number)
4. Fold circle in half and attach chain to eyelet on both sides
5. Pull the rope or ribbon through
6. Attach bolts or beads to the end of the rope/ribbon
Et Voila! Your own DIY Pouch, ready to wear!

For the Undomestic Diva; Coconut Snowballs

This week is getting busier and busier leading up to Christmas, there is so much to do and still you want to make a nice treat in the spirit of the holidays. Well, here is where Duncan Hines, my dear friend comes in. Usually I like making cupcakes from scratch, but this time a little something for the busy bees and the undomestic diva's.
What you'll need;
-(French) Vanilla cake mix
-Marshmallow Fluff
-Shredded sweetened coconut
-Decoration (either store bought or self made)

Bake cupcakes, follow instructions on back (usually it's; add eggs, oil and water).
Let them cool off after taking them out of the oven!!
Spread a spoon of fluff on, sprinkle the coconut shreds on, stick in your centerpiece (use toothpick and a printed out image stuck onto it)

Et Voila! your Coconut Snowballs are done! Caution; Sticky & Sweet, but oh so yummy!
