Outfit Post; Neon & camel skirt

Hi dear readers, this was a nice, sunny day last week. All it's been after is cloudy and rain. I was afraid I wouldn't get the chance to wear my DIY skirt anymore (weather wise), but lucky us :)

Outfit inspiration; Multi functional wrap dress

Hey dear readers, in my (outfit) post yesterday I mentioned how I love versatile dresses and how easy it is to transform an outfit from day to night or work to play. I found another nice inspiration on this artsy multi functional wrap dress. How to wear is out for happy hour example, on the weekend to the market and during the week to work. Hope I can inspire you! XO

Outfit Post; Work & Play

A few weeks ago I had a training for work in the afternoon. After that I met up with my friends for a coffee in the city. I love versatile pieces like this dress, switch up your accessories and you can easily change it from day to night, work or play.
Changing my jewelry from outspoken pieces to smaller more conservative pieces for work. Adding a scarf as a cover up. A big carry-all is handy for work and a smaller clutch is more fun and adds edge for day. Last, changing a classic pump for a colorful flat. Changed up my outfit as easy as that, from work to play. XO

Outfit Inspiration; J. Crew's Jenna Lyon's pick

Hi lovelies, I was browsing the J. Crew website, when I came across Jenna's picks. Jenna Lyons is the creative director for J. Crew. This look was one of them and for the past weeks/months I have been obsessing over this color combo. Remember my DIY skirt/outfit post? (this one)  and I was going on about it in "this post". Well if you wouldn't take it from me, take it from the fashion pro. I can't wait to go to the States again and shop at J. Crew, just a few more weeks! XO

Dedication; Parade, Amsterdam

One of the things I look forward to end of summer vacation is the "Parade". It's all tents and bars with different food, drinks and plays. Besides all that, there are swings and silent disco, which are my favorite things! Today is actually the last day of the Parade, it made it's way through Rotterdam, The Hague and finally, Amsterdam. If you happen to get the chance next year, you should definitely make your way over there, it's just such a nice atmosphere!

Outfit Post; Colors of summer

Hi lovlies, Last weekend we had a bit of sunshine in this dreary city, Amsterdam. The perfect day to get to the beach (notting us island people are used to). We went for sun down, drinks, bites and live blues music. I love this place, such a nice atmosphere! Even though the sunshine, it was still a little breezy, hence the vest.
The sunset was perfect, the colors on the beach were too. After the sun had set, there was a campfire and full moon, just perfect. :)

Love this look; Black skirt, white shirt

Ashley Olson, picture via Nylon.com
So chic! Ashley Olson wearing a Navy midi skirt with a classic white button-down shirt. I love the maxi skirt fashion, but am afraid to wear it because I'm so short. Ashley is short as well and her solution to this fashion dilemma is to wear a midi skirt. Perfect balance of vintage and modern (love the Prada sunglasses), creating an ultra-chic look. What do you think? I love it! XO

Outfit Post; DIY Neon bag

Hi there, a quick outfit post before hopping on the train to Utrecht for lunch. I have been keeping busy with my new found love, the sewing machine. I saw the handles of the bag at a craft store and I loved them, had them for a few weeks now and finally made something out of it. The bag is VERY yellow, but it spruces up any outfit!
These bracelets are also DIY, I have been making loads of these in different colors

Look book; Essentiel

Hi readers, Last time I was in Brussels I discovered a Belgian designer and I love his collections! My last outfit post I was wearing a skirt of his (here). Now I just wanted to share his latest look book (fall/winter 2011). I love all the color combinations and design of clothing, it's feminine yet powerful. At the moment his brand Essentiel is only available in a few EU cities, but if you happen to be there, his store is worth visiting.

Outfit Post; Drapey Skirt

Hi lovely readers, I got this skirt on my last trip to Brussels. It's from a Designer from Antwerp. I thought the colors and the way it drapes is awesome! Lately it has been very windy here in Amsterdam. I believe the summer is pretty much over unfortunately. But Fortunately we have the nice autumn colors to look out to. The other day I saw the first brown leaves on the floor. Besides the wind and rain, I actually like autumn. I remember the first year I moved to Amsterdam, the first brown leave that flew right into me, I remember where I was walking and how I though how awesome it was. (growing up on a small island in the Caribbean, I had no idea about seasons changing). Wish everybody can see the best of autumn and keep on smiling trough wind and rain! :) XO
