Dreaming pink

I love this campaign of the collaboration of model Charlotte Free & Forever21. Not only the clothes are awesome, but that hair!! I dream of pink hair now. Some years ago I colored my hair and changed it up from pink to purple or blue. Now after not have done anything with my hair for a while, the urge to color it is back! (stay tuned!!)

Styling Tips; Mixing Contrast

What I've been loving now is mixing contrasting print. 

Try Ikat with animal print or a big floral then top it off with a pop of color or a statement piece.

Outfit Post; Lisbon Outfit (une)

We went to Lisboa, Portugal for a few days. These pictures are taken at our hotel room balcony (The Independente), which I highly recommend if you happen to go to Lisbon. 

We experienced little showers of rain and some sunshine too. We did lots of sitting in cafes enjoying a beer or a wine. We found that it reminded us of our little island Cura çao, The colorful buildings, the language and cuisine. What we didn't expect is to actually get muscles aches after walking the entire city, it is a very hilly city with side walks of lime-stone cobbles (very slippery when wet). Gorgeous views and detailed romantic little balconies on every building and lots of buildings completely covered with colorful tiles.

Long Weekend Gone - Packing Tips

I'm packing for a short get away as we speak. Tomorrow early in the morning I leave for Lisboa, Portugal. I have never been so I'm super excited to see what this city has to offer. 

As I continue packing I leave you with some packing tips if you happen to make a city trip with all these long weekends coming up!

Easter Rainbow Cakes

If your looking for a fun way to present your cakes for easter, here is how!

 I took the easy way out an used a store bought cake mix (bad baker!), however I did make the "7 minute meringue frosting" from scratch using "this Martha Stewart" recipe (which really doesn't only take 7 minutes). 

 

 I made one big batch of frosting, then used smaller bowls to make the different colors. By mixing primary colors I created other colors. As a tip; if you'd like the color to be more pastel, use less food coloring. 

 Frost your cupcakes with a icing bag and top it off with some edible glitter or sprinkles.  

Et Voila! Your Easter Rainbow Cupcakes!

 With the remaining cake and frosting batter I made a second easter cake. Simply frost and decorate with some mini chocolate Easter eggs!
