Left over Sweet Potato Pancakes with Home-made Cranberry Jelly

Gobble, Gobble! Happy Thanksgiving!
Here is my breakfast edition (the morning after!) for mashed sweet potato left overs; Pancakes!
I used my standard pancake mix which is
-1cup of milk
-1cup flour
-1 egg
-1/2 teaspoon baking soda + a splash of white vinegar

- Start off with your mashed sweet potatoes and season them with 1teaspoon of cinnamon or 5spice (if they are not seasoned yet).
-Stir in the milk, the egg, baking soda and vinegar and slowly add in the flour.
-Bake pancakes
As a topping I made cranberry jelly, it is nice and tangy with the soft taste of the spiced sweet potato pancakes.
What you'll need;
-Fresh cranberries
- An orange or mandarin
- Orange blossom honey (about 1/2 to 1/3 cup)

1. Start off with boiling your berries until they pop.
2. Strain the water and add in half squeezed orange or mandarin + grade the peel in for extra zest.
3. Pour in the honey and let it simmer until thickened up.
Et Voila! Your left overs put to good use the morning after
Bon Apetit!

Breakfast at Fayme's in the Kitchen; Spiced Pumpkin Bread

Tis the season for pumpkin everything! What I miss about being in the states around fall and the holidays is that everything is available in pumpkin spice flavor (my favorite!), here in the Netherlands not so much...
Me and my undomestic self made this spiced pumpkin bread (from a pack), but I am sure "this", "this", or even "this, gluten free" recipe is as easy and yummy if your determined for your spiced pumpkin bread :)
I did however make my own thyme honey cream-cheese, to slather on top once the spiced pumpkin bread is cooled off. add some fresh springs of thyme and some toasted pumpkin seeds on top.
Et Voila! Bon Appetit!

Breakfast at Fayme's in the Kitchen; Farmers Market Breakfast

Good Sunday Morning!
I got these great fresh ingredients at the organic farmers market, perfect for the Sunday morning brunch!
What's on the menu? A lavish fall yogurt parfait.
I got some in season walnuts and pecans, thyme, thyme honey, and a pluot (it's a mix between a plum and an apricot, you could also use just a plum or just an apricot).
Start with some thick yogurt (I use greek yogurt), then crack and chop the nuts on top, cut the pluot to go on top, sprinkle some fresh thyme leaves on top, drizzle the thyme honey over all of it...
Et Voila! Bon Appetit!

On Trend; Celine inspired plaid

Happy Friday!
Don't you sometimes just want to pluck the clothes of the runway? Okay back to reality... since I cannot get my hands on actual Celine products, I might as well make my own trendy check piece, here's how....
 1. Find yourself a fun checkered fabric, grab a tee and pin the outline + 2 extra centimeters. (make sure the fabric is backwards)
2. Cut along pins, then fold the shirt and the fabric double, and cut an even neckline.
3. Sew along the pins and the shoulders, turn fabric inside out and a new shirt is born.
4. Final touch, hem the bottom of the shirt, the sleeves and neckline. I like to use "biaisband", it makes it even easier! I used a suede biaisband for extra detail.

Breakfast at Fayme's in the kitchen; Home-Made Waffles & Pear Compote

Happy Saturday Morning!
So I got this awesome old school waffle iron (check some out "here") and gave a shot at making these babies. I made brown sugar waffles with pear compote and it was scrumptious!
What you need;
-3/4 cups brown sugar
-2 eggs
-2 cups all purpose flower
-3 teaspoons baking soda
-1/8 cup vegetable oil ( I used coconut oil)
-1 1/2 cups milk

Whisk all ingredients together, pour in waffle iron (about 1/3 cup batter per time), bake each side about 2 minutes.... Et Voila!
For the pear compote;
Cut up 2 pears into small cubes, bring to a simmer with a 1/2 teaspoon of 5spice or nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon and about a 1/4cup sugar.
 Bon Appetit!
