Bizar Bazar, Curaçao

Last Sunday we visited Bizaar Bazaar for the first time
(follow them on facebook to keep in the loop).
Local artists sell their art work, awesome live music and delicious vegan food on he menu.
There is something majestic about the place.
The vibe is laid-back and the view is amazing that leaves you in awe.
Artist that makes jewelry from sea glass and shells, displayed on a colorful pallet.
This astounding chair design and recycled bags are crafted by Mad-Work
Fin & Fintage with a trunk full of metallic tattoos and her hand made bags from recycled kite surf kites. (if you missed the market order her Tattoos "here")
And another great artist that I met; Omar Sling. He is a multi-artist he makes all sorts of art. Sculptures, paintings and accessories, from all sorts of recycled materials. I liked these woven fabric bracelets the best!

Opening; Saint Germain Concept Store - AIFW

Last weekend during Amsterdam International Fashion Week, I attended the opening of a concept store/gallery; "Saint Germain".
They had different designers showcasing their collections; Charlotte Kan, Filles a Papa, Roparosa, Monday March and Marloes Blaas, just to name a few.
Also a wonderful Photo exhibition by fashion photographer Violette Hoogakker. The Images are dreamy, "fairytail-esque". Taken in Amsterdam's very own butterfly garden at "De Hortus"
Awesome jewelry by Cristel Ball. She mixes materials, shapes and objects and creates one of a kind, bold, statement jewels.
Design by Julia Kaldy
Julia is an accessories designer based in Budapest, Hungary. Her goal is to create something long-lasting with her designs. The collections emphasize minimalism, which gives a timeless character to her works. Her collections are all produced in Hungary and they are 100% hand-made.

Lips of Babel

Through Motilo (fashion-focused social network), I discovered this video. It is by former model, Elle Muliarchyk. She took 24 international top models and had them say a tongue twister in their own language. It is so impressive! I was happy to see a Dutch model (4th) between the bunch and I could actually twist the tongue twister too! Is there one in your language as well? XO

Snapshots; LA Trip no. 3

Ok, so this is the last of it! sorry for the LA pictures overload :), but I thought this mural was share worthy. We were strolling on main street in Venice, with all cute boutiques and coffee places. This mural is done by Kristel Lerman, a native Californian. I thought the colors and details )just the whole thing) are awesome!! don't ya think? XO

Snapshots; LA Trip no. 2, Watts Towers

Hey lovelies, Besides doing the typical LA stuff, we went to go see the Watts Towers. It is not exactly central so you'd have to drive a bit, but it's pretty impressive. So this one Italian guy (Simon Rodia) hand made these with his bare hands. He made it over a period of 33 years, from 1921-1954 and it's over 30 meters. Simon asked neighbors to bring old tiles, glass work and ceramics to mosaic the piece of artwork. After all this time standing it has never been vandalized which is impressive, don't you think? XO
Top; Primark, Shorts; Sparkle & Fade, Wedges; New Look, Neckless; F21, Sunnies; Michael Kors
L2R- Bracelets; DIY, H&M, Old, ring; BCBG, Watch; Guess, Market
Oh and btw most of the houses in the street also have mosaic walls and benches in front of their houses, very cute :)
