Home Decorating; Incorporating color

Ok, so I'm guessing it might be clear that I love a lot of color. Actually our bedroom is all white, with accent colors. I recently hung this picture of my boyfriend and I at Santa Monica Pier on our LA trip. I enhanced the colors and it just "pops" (it was a accidental spontaneous picture that actually came out great). The perfect addition to our blank walls. Downstairs in the living room I hung lights (I call them picnic light), they create a wonderful atmosphere. I also got 2 little cacti with pink and orange tops! I love them :) and they fit nice with my serape, my souvenir from LA, Olvera Street. What do you think??

Snapshots; LA Trip no. 3

Ok, so this is the last of it! sorry for the LA pictures overload :), but I thought this mural was share worthy. We were strolling on main street in Venice, with all cute boutiques and coffee places. This mural is done by Kristel Lerman, a native Californian. I thought the colors and details )just the whole thing) are awesome!! don't ya think? XO

Snapshots; LA Trip no. 2, Watts Towers

Hey lovelies, Besides doing the typical LA stuff, we went to go see the Watts Towers. It is not exactly central so you'd have to drive a bit, but it's pretty impressive. So this one Italian guy (Simon Rodia) hand made these with his bare hands. He made it over a period of 33 years, from 1921-1954 and it's over 30 meters. Simon asked neighbors to bring old tiles, glass work and ceramics to mosaic the piece of artwork. After all this time standing it has never been vandalized which is impressive, don't you think? XO

Oh and btw most of the houses in the street also have mosaic walls and benches in front of their houses, very cute :)

Snapshots; LA Trip no. 1

Hi readers, A few snapshots from my LA (&surroundings) trip. We did a lot of driving around, walking on the beaches (Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu) enjoying the hot, hot weather soaking up some Cali culture. Had nice lunches, viewed the obvious Hollywood sign, walk of fame, Rodeo drive etc. There are a few more picture posts to follow :)
