Outfit Post; Marni at H&M Shorts

Yep, I was one of those crazies that stood in line early in the morning for the launch of Marni at H&M. It was sort of unplanned though. My friend and I go to yoga in the morning and since we would be up anyway, we thought lets just pass by the H&M. We had no idea how crazy it gets, before we even got up there the racks were practically empty already, however I did get 2 of the items I had my eye on from the beginning (happy me). Did you get your hands on any of the designer collaboration items? XO

Breakfast At Faymes - DIY Tassels (Video)

For those who follow me on twitter might have known that a DIY video was on it's way. In this video I show you how to make your own tassels, I want to thank my dear friend Francine for coming up with this idea (Follow her super style on Pinterest; Chincho15).
It's really easy and super fun to make tassels, you can do anything with them of course. Until now I've made a tassel necklace and attached one to a clutch I made. Hope you like it! XO

Outfit Post; Print on Print

While on Curaçao, I got to be creative with the limited clothes I took with me. I wore my onesy  (seen here) as shorts, simply with a t-shirt over it. I love the "print on print" trend.
 Some tips on how to wear it below;

-Mix big prints with small prints
- Keep it in the same tones of color
- Add funky/contrasting jewelry
-For a summery look, add raffia, rope or wicker accesories
These banana trees are in my moms backyard, I planted them myself, unfortunately I didn't get to try them this time.

Beach Time; Mesh cover-up

While on Curaçao we've only been to the beach a couple times. Way too little you could argue, but due to circumstances we didn't get to the beach as often as we would have liked. However I did enjoy the few times we got to experience the beautiful sea, sand and sunshine.

Trend Alert; Seeing Leaves

I've always loved leaf print things, maybe because it reminds me of the tropics (which reminds me of my beautiful tiny island, Curaçao). Or maybe just because...
Now I'm seeing leaves all over the runway, Dries van Noten, Charlotte Olympia and Holland's own Maarten van der Horst.
Last summer after a long search for fabric with a nice leaf print and eventually found one. I had made pillow cases for these huge 70x70 pillows I have laying on the ground. With the left-over fabric I made a clutch (which is nice because it's sturdy furniture fabric) TBC ;)

Au Revoir Curaçao

I'm not the kind that stays laying on the beach for hours soaking up that sun. You do hear me complain about how hot it is all the time... but got got my dose of vitamin D and my healthy glow. Besides that
spend lots of time with family, which was highly necessary. All in all it flew by way to fast and Curaçao I will miss you! See you in a few!
