International Swim Fashion Week, Curaçao

Passed weekend I made it to International Swim Fashion Week which was held on on our beautiful island of Curaçao. It was a very fun event, well organized, beautiful girls and cool designs. Hopefully with events like these our tiny Island will be put on the map in the fashion industry.

Below are some of the shots I captured (with IPhone6).

The first show was Sirenes De Soleil. A French-American and Colombian fashion duo, doesn't that sounds like a fashion match made in the swimwear industry...

The second show was Island State is an Australian swim and resort wear label. Founded in 2013 by a couple who have a mutual love of travel, lazy days on the beach and photography. 

Lots of color and nice beach cover-ups...

This (below) was my favorite! Colorful and a gorgeous design (look at the back!)

The third designer was Canadian and was not sure if this was swimwear or something you would wear in your boudoir. She had some funky stuff...

Aloha from Hawaii

Now back in Amsterdam, I had a few wonderful days in Hawaii and LA, spending fun times with family. Walking the beach in front of the house we stayed at, in the mornings. Drinking Hawaii Kona coffee and having tropical fruits for breakfast. I wish I could go for one of those refreshing morning walks right now....

 First trip to the beach, wearing a lace cut-out top/tunic as a beach dress paired with gladiator sandals (both old) and my denim duffel bag (American Apparel, "here").

Cadaqués, Spain in Snapshots

Cadaqués is a tiny town on the North-East of spain. Home to Famous artist Salvador Dali who lived and worked in his house, as displayed as he had left it after he died. As you drive in, from a zig-zag road through the mountins (the only way in-and-out of town), you notice all houses and buildings are white, with primarily blue, or deep red or green windows and doors. The delicious Spanish foods like; Jamon Ibérico, Manchego cheese and Pan con Tomate. The weather is great, views are beautiful an the peope are friendly.

You should definitely stop by one time!

These are the last of my pictures of Curaçao! I've been back in Holland now and missing much already like coconut water, it's so refreshing and healthy too. These pictures are taken at a spot on the island called "Shete Boka", it's gorgeous to see the waves crash in. Curaçao is a volcanic island and here you see the volcanic stone and the way the island was build up. The northern side of Curaçao is rough waters and makes it impossible to swim, but just a short car ride and your on the southern side which holds some of the most gorgeous beaches.

While on Curaçao we've only been to the beach a couple times. Way too little you could argue, but due to circumstances we didn't get to the beach as often as we would have liked. However I did enjoy the few times we got to experience the beautiful sea, sand and sunshine.

Au Revoir Curaçao

I'm not the kind that stays laying on the beach for hours soaking up that sun. You do hear me complain about how hot it is all the time... but got got my dose of vitamin D and my healthy glow. Besides that 

spend lots of time with family, which was highly necessary. All in all it flew by way to fast and Curaçao I will miss you! See you in a few!
