International Swim Fashion Week, Curaçao

Passed weekend I made it to International Swim Fashion Week which was held on on our beautiful island of Curaçao. It was a very fun event, well organized, beautiful girls and cool designs. Hopefully with events like these our tiny Island will be put on the map in the fashion industry.

Below are some of the shots I captured (with IPhone6).

The first show was Sirenes De Soleil. A French-American and Colombian fashion duo, doesn't that sounds like a fashion match made in the swimwear industry...

The second show was Island State is an Australian swim and resort wear label. Founded in 2013 by a couple who have a mutual love of travel, lazy days on the beach and photography. 

Lots of color and nice beach cover-ups...

This (below) was my favorite! Colorful and a gorgeous design (look at the back!)

The third designer was Canadian and was not sure if this was swimwear or something you would wear in your boudoir. She had some funky stuff...

Summer Sunshine

Yellow is the color of the summer. It is bright and a happy color, even if your summers day isn't that shiny.

Paired with a lace top and straw accessories completes the summer look.

Beauty Buzz; Peachy Summer Look

This week try out a new lightweight, fresh new summer look. You don't need a lot, just a bronzy cheek  and a peachy lip. Tie your hair back to keep your crazy "fly-away hair" in tact (like me). I used Bobbi Brown  Duo Mascara (one side is Extreme length and the other is No Smudge waterproof), Ideal for vacations along the sea.

Tone your face with fleur d'orange water (orange blossom water), it is refreshing and energizing. 

 Then moisturize, I use a moisturizer with SPF in it and I recently started using a BB cream. The BB cream is nice and light weight with a higher SPF. it evens out red spots and gives the skin a glow without looking like a cake.

I use my fingers to apply the BB cream, the warmth of your hands will make it set well.

Apply Bronzer with a flat brush, right underneath your cheekbones and on your temples  in upward motion.

 Smile slightly and apply a peachy-coral blush to the apples of your cheeks.

This season I am into the peaces and cream orange lipstick to complete the look.

Cinderella, Cinderella! Which shoe to wear?... Some of y favorite shoe styles this season and how to wear them.

Gladiator style, lace-up sandals; cute with shorts, skirts or dresses.

The two-tone ankle strap mid-heel; Cool under rolled up cargo pants or boyfriend jeans.

The thick double strap sandal; under minimalistic dresses and culottes.

Summer time... and the livin's easy

A bright neon coral-orangy color for the summer, toned down with a tough army green cargo pant. Worn with this seasons trendy two tone ankle strap, block heel and finished it off with a straw clutch that screams summer time.
