Breakfast at Fayme's in the Kitchen; Spiced Pumpkin Bread

Tis the season for pumpkin everything! What I miss about being in the states around fall and the holidays is that everything is available in pumpkin spice flavor (my favorite!), here in the Netherlands not so much...
Me and my undomestic self made this spiced pumpkin bread (from a pack), but I am sure "this", "this", or even "this, gluten free" recipe is as easy and yummy if your determined for your spiced pumpkin bread :)
I did however make my own thyme honey cream-cheese, to slather on top once the spiced pumpkin bread is cooled off. add some fresh springs of thyme and some toasted pumpkin seeds on top.
Et Voila! Bon Appetit!

Happy July

Happy Monday and happy July! I want to share the fact that I'm part-taking in a blogger challenge set up by a fellow Yu di Korsou (Curaçao native), a girl I used to be in class with. She blogs about society and anything unconventional. She is creative, witty and not afraid to share her point of view. Check out her blog Antiyano mi ta "here"
The purpose of the challenge is to get your creative juices flowing, to build a flow in your posts and to newtwork with other bloggers. Expect some guest posts from other participating bloggers from Curaçao including a poet, photographer, food bloggers and fellow fashion bloggers.
Embrace July and your summer break!
On another note... I'm currently planning a short trip to Paris!
*Excited to share my Paris adventures*
Au revoir, à tout à l'heure

Breakfast at Fayme's in the Kitchen; Sunday Brunch

Happy Sunday everybody! It's time to stay in bed and cozy up.
Get out of your regular breakfast routine and change it up by serving your coffee in reused glass jars. And instead of regular cheese mix it up with brie and jelly and old Amsterdam gouda cheese with candied ginger, YUM!!

DIY Xmas Gift; Chocolate Covered Spoons

I have seen these types of spoons before, a chunk of chocolate to stir in hot milk to create hot cocoa. Now I wanted to make them myself, in a smaller fancier version that makes your tastebuds tingle.
The one on the left is Dark Chili and the one on the left is White Vanilla-bean.
What you need;
-Plain blocks of chocolate (dark & white)
-Wooden Spoons
-Chili (from a grinder)
-Fresh vanilla bean
1. Break both chocolates and put in two bowls, add bit of chili flakes into one and the scraped vanilla bean into the other.
2. Bring a pot of water to boil and place the bowl in the pot*, stir occasionally till the chocolate is melted evenly.
*(this method is called "au bain-marie")
3. Scoop the spoons in the chocolate and place on a lined baking sheet
leave them to cool down and refrigerate for a bit till chocolate is completely hard.
4. Package them in a plastic baggie and label them with custom-made labels.
