Bunch of flower DIY

Lately I have been obsessing over bougainvillea flowers, it is my favorite tropical flower. When I came across these sew-on sequin bougainvilleas I had to have them! Although I procrastinated sewing them on, I finally did it! all you need to do is put on a tv series that you can watch back to back, but don't forget to look where your needle is going!
Can't get over how "real" they look!
What you need;
- A shirt
- Sew-on flowers (similar ones "here" and "here"
- Needle and thread
Make a design you like, along the sleeves, along the neckline or scattered over the shoulders...
 Et Voila!

Breakfast at Fayme's in the Kitchen; Pumpkin Muffin

Belle of the ball, home before 12, these whole wheat pumpkin muffins are an healthy version of dessert or even perfect for breakfast since they are high in protein and "lower" carb.
~Happy Sunday~
 What you need;
- 1/2cup walnut flour (you may use all purpose flour)
- 1/2cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice (or cinnamon)
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1cup pumpkin puree (when using fresh boiled, let is sit in a cheese cloth to strain excess water)
- 1/2cup milk (or almond milk)
- 2 eggs
- 1/4cup honey
- 3/4cup quick cook rolled oats
Ok, lots of ingredients, but easy to make;
Mix all dry ingredients together and all wet ingredients together then add together and mix well. Scoop mixture into lined muffin tin and decorate with a walnut on top (you could also add chopped nuts to the mixture for extra bite).

In pre-heated oven of 180*C, pop the muffins in for +/- 25-30 mins or until toothpick comes out clean.

Et Voila! Enjoy your Pumpkin Muffins

DIY Grown-up Sippy Cup

Hydration is key! On the island in the summer (but also in winter!). I have heard multiple times not to reuse plastic bottles and leave them in the sun. Yet with the recycling fact in mind, I created this DIY Mason jar sippy cup.
What you'll need;
- A big empty jar
- Hammer
- Nail
- Thick screw
- Straw

1. Make a hole in the middle with the nail
2. Make the hole bigger with the screw
3. Make sure to flatten out the sharp edges on the inside, by hammering them down

Et voila! Your very own re-usable mason jar sippy-cup, to keep you hydrated

On the isLand

We are currently working on our house on a piece of land, walking around here requires shades and a hat to protect you from the hot afternoon sun. I cannot wait to start gardening around the house and to harvest fruits and vegetables. We picked our very first lime this day. And when life hands you limes.....

Pink & Other Stories

 This spring it's all about the pinks. In Milan I went on this beauty haul and stocked up on the pinks at &Other Stories. Foe those who know this store, I also happily share that you can expect the first one in Amsterdam end of this year (situated in Heilige weg). Unfortunately for me I won't be around Amsterdam since I am moving back to Curaçao this week. Cannot wait to wear these fresh bright pinks on the island!
