Beauty Buzz; Peachy Summer Look

This week try out a new lightweight, fresh new summer look. You don't need a lot, just a bronzy cheek  and a peachy lip. Tie your hair back to keep your crazy "fly-away hair" in tact (like me). I used Bobbi Brown  Duo Mascara (one side is Extreme length and the other is No Smudge waterproof), Ideal for vacations along the sea.

Tone your face with fleur d'orange water (orange blossom water), it is refreshing and energizing. 

 Then moisturize, I use a moisturizer with SPF in it and I recently started using a BB cream. The BB cream is nice and light weight with a higher SPF. it evens out red spots and gives the skin a glow without looking like a cake.

I use my fingers to apply the BB cream, the warmth of your hands will make it set well.

Apply Bronzer with a flat brush, right underneath your cheekbones and on your temples  in upward motion.

 Smile slightly and apply a peachy-coral blush to the apples of your cheeks.

This season I am into the peaces and cream orange lipstick to complete the look.

Pink & Other Stories

 This spring it's all about the pinks. In Milan I went on this beauty haul and stocked up on the pinks at &Other Stories. Foe those who know this store, I also happily share that you can expect the first one in Amsterdam end of this year (situated in Heilige weg). Unfortunately for me I won't be around Amsterdam since I am moving back to Curaçao this week. Cannot wait to wear these fresh bright pinks on the island!

Spring Beauty Trend: Neon Lips

 This season hot pinks and corals are hot! Think fluorescent or even neon color. It makes me happy, a bright pout like that. Above beauty images from Spring/Summer2013 runway shows; (left to right)  Dries van Noted, Missoni and Giles 

Here's my secret :)  

Above; A bright coral color (YSL - Extreme Coral) with a neon pigment dabbed on top (MAC - Red Electric). The pigment will help the lipstick set, intensify the brightness and stays on (almost) all day!

Spring's Beauty Forecast; Side Swept Hair

A Spring/Summer trend that has been all over the runways, is side swept hair. For an extra bit of spring romance, wear a silk scarf. My scarf is vintage, thrifted at I Love Vintage, Amsterdam.

New Do

Yesterday I blogged about my urge to do something with my hair, well I did. I went ombre! 

<om·bre - noun  \ˈäm-bər; ˈäm-brē, ˈəm-, -ˌbrā\ - Borrowed from French meaning; Shaded- Ombre hair is generally darker at the roots the gets lighter towards the end>

I get my hair done at Salon-B by top hair stylist Adriana, Last year she was runner-up of the Dutch TV series "The Next Hair Guru". She is wonderful at what she does and does it with passion! You might remember a year ago when I cut my hair for "Locks of Love" (read "here"), That was her! 

This is my new statement shirt. I bought it in Lisbon made in Northern Portugal, the brand; Meam by Ricardo Preto. The fabric is like a second skin, that soft! Next year they'll be selling it in Amsterdam as well, the owner of the shop told me.

Dreaming pink

I love this campaign of the collaboration of model Charlotte Free & Forever21. Not only the clothes are awesome, but that hair!! I dream of pink hair now. Some years ago I colored my hair and changed it up from pink to purple or blue. Now after not have done anything with my hair for a while, the urge to color it is back! (stay tuned!!)

Every year around the holidays MAC Cosmetics brings out a set of pigments, I love them! I tend to want to buy them every year, but honestly I take for ever with one little pot.
