Floral and Leopard

As always I try to come up with new ways to wear staples I have hanging in my closet already. I paired floral shorts with leopard print top and added pops of gold and neons to tie it all up. Just make sure your contrasting prints are in the same tones and colors or textures and fabrics.

Safari Style

We have seen leopard print and we have seen snake skin print, but hold your horses because you will see lots of zebra print. Coming spring will be all about black and white, the graphic print, the stripes and of course the animal print a.k.a. Zebra.
A fun way of wearing this print is; with chunky jewelry made from natural elements.

Aztec Print & Western Jewels

After a few hot weather days and an 9hour plane ride back, I'm back in cold and grey Amsterdam. I'll be reminiscing the warmer days with the upcoming photos I took in Curaçao. You do not have to wait to wear the aztec print with western jewels, imagine a chunky aztec print knit with western jewels to wear this combo now!

Re-wear Your Sequin Holiday Dress

This holiday season "the sequin mini" was a big trend. I myself wore this number for new years eve (I did not even get to wear it out since  came down with a fever, oh well). As always I try to find ways to re-wear a dress so it does not just hang in the closet.
To balance out the glam of this dress I paired it with short biker boots and a jeans vest to make it more tough than chic.

The Statement Earring

We all know about "The Statement Necklace" and "The Statement Ring, but now it's time for the  "The Statement Earring" to shine! An awesome way to pull big earrings off is by layering a laid-back look; I'm wearing my chunky knit with a peek-a-booh denim shirt.
Wear your hair up or in a low bun and just show 'em off!

DIY XMas Gift; Sugar 'n Spice Body Scrub

I have been making my own scrub for a while now and I find it so nice and easy. Last year I even hosted a DIY scrub party ("here") because there are so many ingredients to choose from! For the holiday spirit I made a Sugar 'n Spice one which smells so yumm!
What you need;
-Sugar (about a cup)
-Oil (I use almond oil, but you could use any nut oil or jojoba)
-Essence (I use Vanilla)
-Optional; Spices like Cinnamon
1. Add all ingredients to a jar
2. Make sure the dry and the oil ingredients are mix, especially at the bottom of the jar.
3. Pour oil till mixed well and a layer of oil stays on top of the sugar.
Et Voila! Your own Sugar 'n Spice Scrub!

DIY Xmas Gifts; Spa in a Washcloth

Very easy gift to make and it smells so good while making it!
The sea salt will dissolve in the hot water while showering, giving you a gentle scrub and the herbs or flowers like lavender will relax body and mind after a cold winter day.
What you need;
-Washcloths
-Needle & thread
-Sea salt
-Herbs or dried flowers of choice (I went with lavender and a mix of rose and herbs)
1. Scoop the sea salt and the herbs into the washcloth
2. Sew it shut
Et Voila! A spa in a washcloth!
Note: after using it the first time it will harden up as it dries, before using it again wash till softened or till the salt crystals dissolve.
